Always striving for the highest quality engineered products and affordable to the masses, we here at LIC Motorsports have been working with CSF Radiators for almost a year now to assist in bringing a fantastic option to market for these cars. One that not only meets others standards but exceeds technology in its class. We are honored to be a strategic partner on this venture and we feel that it will be a product you won't want to be without!
CSF Radiators and LIC Motorsports are proud to announce the release and immediate availability of a new line of unique and innovative All-aluminum race-spec radiators with built-in oil coolers for the Subaru WRX & STI platform. Now available in limited quantities for both the 2002-2007 (Manf # CSF 3076O) and 2008-2014 + 2015 (Manf # CSF 7042O). * 2006/2007 WRX has a much tighter fitment due to different factory oil cooler and exhaust manifold combination. To make this work with these model years, you will either need to remove the factory oil cooler and cap off the coolant line coming off the water pump and at the block and/or run aftermarket headers (as it'll have less of a fitment issue).* Technical Specs:
Price ~ $649 MSRP/MAP, currently offering introductry price of $599 Links to kits: 2002-2007 WRX/STi 2008-2014 WRX , 08+ STi Images:

For those that didn't see...we will now be offering pinned mains on cases as an option on bigger builds. This isn't something that is necessary for everyone but anyone over 400whp and 25psi of boost, its something that should at least be considered.
What does this do and why would I need it? The issue at higher horsepower and boost levels is what's called shuffling. This is where the two blockhalves come together, it literally starts to move around, this is caused by pressure/heat/torsional stresses/etc. By pinning the mains (aka anti-shuffle pins) a more robust and rigid environment is achieved. This custom pinning work can now be done through LIC Motorsports. Price: $500.00 (does not include shipping to/from) Turnaround Time: 2 weeks (once in the schedule) We thought it would be fun to let you guys in on the making of the LIC Motorsports Adj. Idlers. Often times one never really thinks just how something is made, albeit that it never crosses one's mind, too busy to even think about it, and/or just downright don't even care. Well we know some do care and would be interested; so this article is for you!
The chronology is like many other designed parts...which has a chain of events that must occur
The process seems fairly uninvolved right? Well let me break it down a little differently and a bit more product specific. This is what it takes to make 1 idler bearing (which is only 50% of what comes in the kit).
![]() For more than 29 years of continuous exhaust development and technical expertise are drawn upon to develop the ultimate Milltek Sport range of performance products, offering an ever-expanding comprehensive selection of performance exhausts which build on the successes of key marques like Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, BMW and Nissan. As of just recently Milltek has been taking off in the Subaru marketplace. Whereas the factory saw fit to endow the car with a system diameter of just 53.8mm, careful testing led Milltek’s engineers to arrive at a bore 15% larger at 63.5mm, reducing back pressure and improving performance. Mass was also a consideration from the outset, with the team seeking to trim excess weight from the OEM set‐up – despite the desire to run a larger diameter bore throughout. The results have been astounding. Two systems will be available upon launch; a secondary cat‐back design that is some 10.5lbs (23%) lighter than stock, and for those that refuse to compromise, a primary cat‐back design that saves more than 17.6lbs (27%) over the standard part. On a car that is about refinement and light weight, these figures are encouraging – but they mean nothing without tangible power gains to back them up. Thankfully, the numbers here are equally as impressive. Under independent evaluation, the test mule recorded 168.2hp / 141.6ft‐lbs as standard at the wheels. With the Milltek Sport secondary cat‐back system, it increased to 175.4hp / 144.6ftlbs – an increase of 7.2hp (4%) and 3ft‐lbs (2%). With the primary cat‐back system, the car was able to produce a much more impressive 180.1hp / 153.4ft‐lbs – an increase of 11.9hp (6.6%) and 11.8ftlbs (7.7%). For a normally aspirated car, these numbers are astounding. With the ‘weight’ and ‘power’ boxes ticked, Milltek’s designers were also keen to ensure that the system packed an aesthetic improvement too. A pair of beautifully crafted 4.5” GT115 single‐skin tailpipes was the ideal finishing touch. Balancing a more aggressive demeanour with an ‘OEM+’ attitude, they are the perfect visual balance. In a similar sense to the Y‐Pipe on the Nissan GT‐R, replacing the BRZ’s over‐pipe with the Milltek Sport Over‐Pipe is one of the simplest performance modifications that you can make. This is mainly down to the OEM part featuring numerous crushes, dimples and changes in pipe radius. The Milltek Over‐Pipe not only features smooth‐radius mandrel bends and optimal pipe routing but it’s also manufactured from a larger‐bore pipe – 63.5mm versus the OEM’s 53.8mm. Despite this, the Milltek part is actually 33% lighter! Evidence again, if it were needed, that Millteks’ attention to detail on the development of this system has been extremely thorough and complete. The Milltek Sport Over‐Pipe has been engineered to fit both left and right‐hand drive vehicles and is fully interchangeable with the OEM exhaust system and the Milltek Sport system. The LIC Motorsports "Get LIC'd" Hanes Beefy-T Tagless shirts offer greater durability and less shrinkage than you'll get with ordinary tees. To make it even better its has your favorite performance shops logo and slogan on it. These are offered in 2 colors (Black and Grey). In addition a long sleeve is available in black as well. Be sure to get them while they are in stock, as LIC is known for never repeating the same design twice...so once they are sold out, thats it! Features

![]() LIC Motorsports is constantly looking to bring their knowledge of what they’ve learned in transforming a street car to a full blown track car to the masses. Here is another part that was instrumental in being able to eradicate the common issues with inferior 5x100 wheel bearings used for track use. The LIC Motorsports ABS/Speedo Ring Spacer is designed for folks looking to convert their front older 5x100 inferior wheel bearings to the stouter 5x114.3 ones. In undertaking this process there is lots of items that need to be taken into account. One of the major ones being how to space out the ABS/Speedo Ring gear and get it back into proper alignment with the ABS Sensor. Well we have the solution. This spacer has 2 different variations available, the first being 6mm, and the second one being 8mm. The reason there are two choices is b/c there are 2 different size ABS/Speedo Ring gears across different models. Just like with the OEM ones these will be a must when used with the LIC Motorsports custom front knuckles which are due out shortly (also be on the lookout for custom rears being offered by LIC). These spacers are made from 6061 T6 Aluminum and they maintain a strict tolerance of 0.005-0.001. A professional installer is recommended as the need for various tools is mandatory, which includes but is not limited to: various tools, heat/cold treatments, and a press. Note
Fender flares oh fender flares............... When we first went about having these flares we knew they had to be sleek, durable, and ultimately do what we needed them to do; which was fit a unconventional wheel/tire combo. Since we last visited making these flares we've changed a few things around, things we learned in racing and will only benefit all who opt for the LIC Motorsports flares. These will now feature carbon material, will require no body work to existing vehicle, and will be easy for anyone to install. They're truly race inspired and we are passing along our experience over to the open market to produce a better and more refined product. These will also be offered in rears only, for the guys who don't need fronts or already have wider front fenders already. This product is still being refined and is constantly a goal for us to finish ASAP but it needs to be just how we want it, still more time is needed for completion
Fitment- 02-07 WRX/STi (Wagon/Sedan) Carbon Roofs: Taking on the racing bug even further, LIC will now be offering Carbon roofs. The factory roof carries a lot of weight and at the very highest part of the car, reducing this weight is key to a performance/race car. All other aftermarket roofs we could find were still very heavy (in excess of 12+ lbs typically), the LIC version is projected to only weigh in at 4.5-5.5 lbs. This is a product that we are looking to be completed by Q2 of 2011. Fitment- 02-07 WRX/STi (Sedan) ABS Spacer Rings: Long awaited and almost done, this is another part used on the LIC Motorsports race car. Anytime you upgrade from the old 04 Hub/Bearing style to the new 05+ STi you need to do something to correct the fitment of the axle (if you intend to use the old style axles. Not everyone wants to spend the money buying brand new axles to make this upgrade complete. The good news is we know exactly what you need. These items are due out by end of Q1 2011. Fitment- anyone upgrading to the newer 5x114.3 hubs/knuckles Knuckles: LIC wil be offering there custom front and rear knuckles as seen/used on there race car during the 2010 race season but these will be taken a step further than the previous ones and will now be offered in billet and will be precision CNC machined. These knuckles are used for roll center/bump steer adjustments, which is critical when you have a lowered car, especially a race car in a competitive environment. These are last on the list of things to do, as the cost associated with them is very high and we are not seeing a high demand for these at the moment. This item has no projected final date, still gauging overall interest. Fitment- 05+ STi We have for sale 02-07 WRX/STi Carbon components. These parts are coated with a thin coat of primer and are ready for paint. THESE ARE RACE PARTS, not show parts. Weights:
-Front standard doors weigh in at 7 lbs, each. -Rear standard doors weigh in at 6 lbs, each. -Rear APR w/ integrated window weigh in at 7-8lbs, each. -Trunk weighs in at 6lbs Thats only 32-36 lbs between 5 heavy pieces on the car Prices: $895 Front Door, each. $895 Rear Standard Door, each. $995 Rear APR Door w/ integrated window, each. $850 Rear Trunk *The rear std doors can be made with integrated window as well, just cost approx $100 more per door. Stay tuned for more dry carbon parts coming to the line up, next on the list is roof and hoods. |
