BAM XI 2011

Sunday, August 7, 2011 - 11:00am - 4:00pm
BAM 2011

BAM XI will be held on Sunday, August 7th 2011 between 11 a.m. and 3p.m. at the Area 51 Event Center (aka Rock Wall Winery) at 2301 Monarch Street, located in the Alameda Naval Air Station. We have rented the hangar area, as well as access to the area in front of the hangar for a great view of the SF skyline and a wonderful place to hold the annual car show. This event is a fundraiser for the Red Cross Japan Relief Fund, and al l profits will go to that effort.

As this event center is a bonded winery, PETS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES.

The menu is going to feature tri-tip and ribs, with a vegetarian option of Amy's Lasagna, cooked in its own pan on the grille. As BBQ deserves to be served with beer, and this event center has its beer and wine license, both beer and wine will be sold on premises. Half of the revenue raised by the beer and wine sales will be given to i-club to donate to the Red Cross fund.

The following vendors will be represented:

DBTuned
EQ Tuning
Essence of Imagery
Fine Line Imports
LIC Motorsports
Mann Engineering
Matt Basile Photography
Primitive Racing

In addition to the annual car show, we're working on obtaining the services of DJ 2 Fresh to provide the music and MC duties, and are going to have a few other surprises in store.

TICKET PRICES:

Adults: $15/advance and $20/door
Children 12 and under: $10/advance and $15/door

T-shirts are available for pre-order at $16.95 + tax - cutoff date is July 16th in order to ensure delivery by the BAM date. Shirts purchased on the day of the event will be $20 including tax.

Please pre-order your tickets and shirt here: http://www.bayareameet.com

Doors open at 11:00 a.m. for admission. Arrive early and be ready for specific parking instructions to begin around 10.30 because there's a very good chance we'll be getting an aerial shot of the parking lot full of cars. I have a photographer who's been nominated to climb the 80 ft. ladder to the top of the hangar.

We will start serving lunch (for the vendors) at 12:15, and the general admission holders will trade their admission tickets for a plate starting at 12:30, going by ticket number. Purchase your admission tickets early for lower numbers!

Throughout the event, raffle tickets will be sold, with the drawing occurring at 2:00 p.m. There will be two tiers of raffle tickets - one for big ticket items, and one for smaller prizes. The tickets for the smaller prizes will be $2/ea. or 3 for $5. The upper tier tickets will go for $5/ea., or 5 for $20. RAFFLE PRIZES TBA.

The car show will be held throughout, with the judging being done by a guest journalist who has graciously accepted the challenge. Don't worry, there'll be a "people's favorite" category!

Please spread the word and help make this the most successful BAM yet!
